My Answers!

  1. What's a book you read with summer vibes?

Ah... this one. I had such a tough time with this question lol, since I haven't read a summer-themed book in AGES. But I think one would have to be Best Family Ever by Karen Kingsbury and Tyler Russel. It's been quite a while since I read that book, but if I remember right, it definitely has summer vibes!

  1. If you could travel anywhere this summer, where would you go?

London! I've read two books that include a lovely London setting, and now I simple have to go XD. It sounds so pretty!!

  1. What's a poem or quote that reminds you of summer?

Summer Showers by Emily Dickinson:

A drop fell on the apple tree

Another on the roof;

A half a dozen kissed the eaves,

And made the gables laugh.

A few went out to help the brooke,

That went to help the sea.

Myself conjectured, Were they pearls,

What necklaces could be!

The dust replaced in hoisted roads

The birds jocoser sung;

The sunshine threw his hat away,

The orchards spangles hung.

The breezes brought dejected lutes

And bathed them in the glee;

The East put out a single flag.

And signed the fete away.

  1. Describe your favorite summer memory

Julie, how dare you do this to me 😭 😂 I have so many summer memories, but one of my favorites is from last summer when I got my hands on a copy of The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale and read outside in the hammock all day. The weather was lovely! And the book... OH MY GOODNESS. Amazing!! I felt so good after finishing the book and going inside... ya know, the sense that you got something accomplished. Reading outside in hammocks is legit THE BEST. *nods*

  1. Your ideal summer is filled with _______, _______, and _______.

Deep blue midnight skies, friends, and horses.

  1. What is your favorite summer food?

Tacos, all the way! 😂 (Ooh, and raspberries - *nods*. They're so good and a refreshing snack!)

  1. Favorite summer activities?

Horseback riding, swimming, and camping, just to name a few. I also enjoy firefly hunts, stargazing, and making time capsules!

  1. How do you usually celebrate 4th of July?

My family and I either have friends over or go to a friends house, where we hang out, eat dinner, and light off fireworks. It usually depends every year on what my parents want to dolast year we went to a friends' house and got to swim in their lake. It was a blast!

  1. What's a song that reminds you of summer?

Flowers by Samantha Ebert. Also, Two Wooden Beams by Josiah Queen (because it was recently released and I've been listening to it a TON during this almost-summer weather).

  1. What are you most excited for this summer?

The YWW retreat! I can't wait to meet my friends, instructors, and learn some new stuff! Also, staffing at camp and taking care of the horses. So excited!!

My tags:

I hope you all have fun with this! God bless!

I LOVED reading your answer, Maya!! The pictures you chose to go along were gorgeous. And reading on a hammock? That sounds AMAZING!!! Your summer sounds like such a vibe. (And I had a super hard time picking out a favorite summer memory too.🤣) How do you usually make time capsules?
